More than 60 people representing more than 40 member libraries participated in the December 2, 2011, PALCI Member Meeting in Harrisburg.

 The Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium, Inc.  (PALCI) was formed in 1996 as a grassroots federation of 35 academic libraries. PALCI is a membership organization of private and public academic libraries. The primary mission of the group is to spur the development of library cooperation within the Commonwealth and surrounding area. 

PALCI is a completely self-supporting enterprise. Fees support an experienced full-time executive director and other staffing and operating costs. Membership includes 76 Pennsylvania , New Jersey and West Virginia libraries.
